It's that exciting time of year again. The Oscar noms are here! The Revenant leads the way with 12 nominations, including that all-important Leonardo DiCaprio Best Actor nod. Could this, could this really be it? In fact, as I write this, I glimpsed upon Mr DC himself just earlier tonight at the premiere of The Revenant. He looked pretty happy, and he definitely has very good reason to. 5th time's a charm.

In other news, Jennifer Lawrence has yet another nomination in the Best Actress category for her performance as Joy, in Joy. Elsewhere, many were as expected including Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander in The Danish Girl. Spotlight, The Big Short, Bridge of Spies and Mad Max: Fury Road. I'm also excited that Sylvester Stallone was recognised as Best Supporting Actor in Creed, as well as Matt Damon in The Martian.
