OMG Trailer Overload at the Super Bowl!
Monday, February 08, 2016Let me be really honest with you. I don't know much about the Super Bowl. I do know, however, that Coldplay and Beyonce and Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga pretty much slayed it as this year's guest performers. I know that the Denver Broncos beat the Carolina Panthers. (I Googled it.) But what I'm probably most excited about, is knowing that all the Super Bowl Special film trailers are here! Bourne is back, Captain America did some more things, X-Men got dark, and there are so many others that I simply can't contain my excitement.
Shall we begin?
Deadpool
This film's out this week and Marvel's anti-hero is creating quite the buzz. There's always time for one last trailer...
Captain America: Civil War
We have to wait til April for the real thing but for now, we have this. There's chanting and a lot of dark, intense staring.
Jason Bourne - ???
Look at this, they still won't tell us Jason Bourne's real name...of the film, that is. But we do know that he's back, and deadlier than ever. He's been OOA for years, but dayym, Matt Damon's still got it.
Independence Day: Resurgence
Quite fittingly with the Super Bowl, this trailer begins with the Star-Spangled Banner (not sung by Lady Gaga though). Then chaos happens.
Gods of EgyptOh look, here's Gerard Butler as an Egyptian. This film is out later this month in the US (April in the UK), and is rocking all the 300 vibes.
X-Men: Apocalypse
Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique says "let's go to war" - and so they do. It doesn't give too much away, but we do see more of the younger characters like Storm, Jean Grey and Cyclops. And Quicksilver's back!
The Jungle Book
There's a live action version of this classic story. It looks quite impressive so far, and also features Scarlett Johansson and Bill Murray, scary talking animals, and Neel Sethi doing a splendid job as Mowgli.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2
Not satisfied with other mutants appearing in the Super Bowl, this crew are back. If you liked the first, I'm sure you'll like this one too...
