All the films. That's what we're getting this summer! If you're happy you've watched Guardians 2 but are now waiting for the next heatwave of films to hit the cinema, you're in luck. Take a peek at some of these upcoming films with a healthy trailer catch up.
But is this the last installment? Probs not, because they said that like 5 years ago. And apparently Transformers 6 will be out in a year's time too. Mark Wahlberg returns to the driving seat, joined by one-to-watch teen actress Isabela Moner, who will give you goosebumps from the preview.
So I matched with this guy on Bumble who has been working on the sequel to the epic Kingsman. He said it was going to be pretty epic again. I'd trust his word on it but then he also stopped speaking so I was about to consider him untrustworthy until I saw the trailer... I'm kidding, kinda. It also stars Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, Elton John and the return of Colin Firth! The Kingsman crew take to America to take on new superbaddy Julianne Moore. Expect more umbrella guns and slick spy parodies.
Brendan Fraser passes his Mummy-battling batton to Mr Action Man Tom Cruise in this reboot, as part of a new Monsters universe. Judging from the trailer, it looks a lot darker this time. Maybe we'll see some man v. mummy hand-to-hand combat too? Cruise loves that sorta stuff.
Which films are you looking forward to!? It's going to be a busy few months at the cinema, that's for sure.
Wonder Woman - 1st June
Here it is! The final trailer. Gal Gadot is going to move mountains with this latest comic book take. If her scenes from Batman v Superman are anything to go by, we're in for a treat.Colossal - Out now!
I hope this one doesn't get lost in the list of big names. For one, it's original and not a sequel or remake or adaptation. Colossal is a quirky film which is quite frankly too difficult to put into words. I've seen it already, and it's definitely unique and worth a watch. In short, Anne Hathaway somehow makes a giant Godzilla-like monster appear in sync in Seoul, South Korea. But why/how/what?! So many questions, so let the film answer them in the most creative storytelling around. Brilliant.Dunkirk - 21st July
More than just "that film that guy (Harry Styles) from One Direction is in", Christopher Nolan favourites Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy lead the cast. We'll be in for a musical treat thanks to Hans Zimmer too. You may remember the Dunkirk story from History lessons (the biggest rescue mission that saw ordinary citizens save the day), but this is going to be one helluva cinematic journey. It - 8th September
Scary scary terrifying. The trailer's enough for me for now, but Stephen King fans can already expect a second 'Part Two' film. The question is, can you handle it? (I, for one, cannot.)Thor: Ragnarok - 27th October
Don't forget about Marvel. Of course not. Thor appears to have lost his long locks (!!) and what's a god like him doing in superhero Gladiator?! I'm more than intrigued and need to watch this like, now. Unfortunately not a summer film though - whyyyy Marvel?
Transformers: The Last Knight - 22nd June
But is this the last installment? Probs not, because they said that like 5 years ago. And apparently Transformers 6 will be out in a year's time too. Mark Wahlberg returns to the driving seat, joined by one-to-watch teen actress Isabela Moner, who will give you goosebumps from the preview.
Despicable Me 3 - 30th June
Gru and the crew! Our favourite adorable minions are back, as well as Gru's long lost brother Dru. But what crime-stopping/starting adventures are they up to this time? Despicable Me 2 kept up the magic so I'm hoping third time's a charm too.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle - 22nd September
So I matched with this guy on Bumble who has been working on the sequel to the epic Kingsman. He said it was going to be pretty epic again. I'd trust his word on it but then he also stopped speaking so I was about to consider him untrustworthy until I saw the trailer... I'm kidding, kinda. It also stars Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, Elton John and the return of Colin Firth! The Kingsman crew take to America to take on new superbaddy Julianne Moore. Expect more umbrella guns and slick spy parodies.
The Mummy - 9th June
Brendan Fraser passes his Mummy-battling batton to Mr Action Man Tom Cruise in this reboot, as part of a new Monsters universe. Judging from the trailer, it looks a lot darker this time. Maybe we'll see some man v. mummy hand-to-hand combat too? Cruise loves that sorta stuff.
Spider-Man: Homecoming - 5th July
And last (for now) but definitely not least, Spidey's back (again)! Tom Holland made his first appearance in the Marvel world in Captain America: Civil War and now he's back to save New York from more bad guys. This time it's Vulture, played by Michael Keaton who's already had experience being a Birdman. Also, Iron Man just can't stay away either. I have a good feeling about this one...
